Case Against Holmes Co. Murder Suspect Closed

The case against a northwest Florida murder suspect is now closed.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has concluded its investigation into the death of 35-year-old Wade Williams, saying his shooting by local law enforcement officers was justified.

Williams is said to have killed his parents, Bruce and Sharon Williams, in January.

Investigators say Williams died after he was shot 17 times by officers. In the shootout, correctional officer Greg Malloy was fatally shot and another officer, Arthur Teal, was wounded.

Teal has since recovered from his wounds.
