On February 21, 2011, the Bay County Sheriff's Office responded to a call in reference to a man displaying irrational behavior.
Deputies responded to 10701 South Fork Loop, the home of Christopher Parker, DOB 2/12/65. Parker appeared to be hallucinating and paranoid. Parker was discharging a firearm into the floor of his home. Parker was also found to have in his possession a package investigators suspected was "bath salts", an orange substance, and drug paraphernalia.
The "bath salts" and the orange substance were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement laboratory for a chemical analysis. The "bath salts" were confirmed to contain the ingredient MDPV and the orange substance was confirmed to be amphetamine.
Warrants were issued for Christopher Parker. He was arrested yesterday, April 4, 2011, and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (MDPV), Possession of Controlled Substance
(amphetamine), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. At the time of his arrest he was found to be in possession of an additional package of a substance also believed to be "bath salt".
