BAY COUNTY, FL - The Bay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in reference to shots being fired at a residence on Allison Avenue, Panama City Beach, today at about 12:00 p.m.

Deputies arrived to find a young woman crawling out a window, holding a firearm. Deputies took the handgun and the woman told them the home was on fire and there were people within the home trying to hurt her and she had fired at them. It appeared that the gun had been fired twice. Deputies searched the residence and did not find anyone inside and nothing burning. No one living near the residence was injured.

She has been arrested and charged with Improper Exhibition of a Firearm, Discharging a Firearm in Public, and Use of a Firearm While Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, all misdemeanors.
