The Bay County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect believed involved in numerous storage shed burglaries in Bay County during the past two months.
Investigators with the BCSO Criminal Investigations Division believe the suspect gains access to the sheds by following behind someone entering legitimately by using the proper key code. Once inside, the suspect cuts the locks on as many as ten different sheds. The most common items reported stolen are tools.
The suspect was captured on security cameras taking the property. He is described as an elderly white male, medium build, wearing a ball cap. He drives a 2001 or 2002 white Nissan Frontier with a burgundy Florida State University license plate at the front of the truck.
Anyone with information on this suspect is asked to contact the Bay County Sheriff’s Office at 747-4700 or Crime Stoppers at 785-TIPS.
