Barbour Co. Man Arrested for Attempted Burglary

Barbour County Sheriff LeRoy Upshaw announced the arrest of a Rocky Mount Community man for the attempted burglary and criminal mischief of a business on US 431 north of Eufaula.

On March 07, 2011 deputies responded to a burglar alarm at the Food Depot Store # 3 located at 2551 US 431N. Upon arrival it was determined that someone had broken out the front door glass in an attempt to buglarize the business. Entry was not made into the business.

Sheriff Upshaw said that Investgator, Lt. David Morris worked the case and Mr. White was arrested on Wednesday April 13, 2011 and charged with Attempted Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree.

Mr. White was transported to the Barbour County Jail where he remains under a $4,000.00 Bond.

Sheriff Upshaw said that patrols have been picked up in the Rocky Mount Community as much as possible in an attempt to curve property crimes in the area.
