The Bay County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call on March 11, 2011, at about 10 p.m. from a woman who stated her best friend, Heather Golden, had just stolen $360 from her with the help of an armed man.
The victim stated she was currently in her car, calling 911 on her cell phone, as she followed the black F-150 driven by the armed man. Her friend was a passenger in the truck and had the victim’s money. The victim was able to give dispatch the tag number of the truck and exact location of the vehicle.
The victim stated that she gave Heather Golden a ride to Star Avenue for a pre-arranged meeting with a man. The victim did not know the man’s name, but did as her friend requested. On Star Avenue they spotted the black truck and the victim pulled over to the side of the road near it. The victim stated that Golden told her to have a good night and then exited her vehicle. At about the same time a man, later identified as Lynde Kroll, got out of the black truck and put a gun to the victim’s head, grabbing her left arm, and demanding money. The victim gave him $360, money she stated she had just withdrawn from her bank account earlier that day.
Deputies stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 390 and Hwy 231. They found Kroll to be in possession of $360. Kroll, DOB 12/14/84, of Chipley, and Golden, DOB 12/31/85, of 310 B. James Street, Panama City, were arrested. Kroll was charged with Strong Armed Robbery and Golden Principal to Strong Armed Robbery.
