Police say when they arrived in the 100 block of Andy Lane they found an 8 month old bulldog with significant injuries to both of its front legs.

It was stated the animal was put inside a dog pen with another pit bull that attacked it.

A veterinarian described the wounds as a "de-gloving" injury wherein the skin and tissue were torn from the bone.

The dog was taken the city's animal shelter where it was euthanized.

Corbitt is charged with 2nd Degree Cruelty to Animals.

This is the third animal abuse arrest this week.

What I don't understand is that there are other animal cases out there that the police are aware of and have evidence on..yet the people are not being arrested for it! These cases are worse than this one and nothing is being done!

This is so terrible to deliberately hurt a animal. I have my cats and dogs and I'd never hurt them, If I could help it. They are part of the family. I guess that guy has never had dogs all his life, and he consisters it a furry hunk of meat with no feelings.Animals have feelings and they have love to give. Some people will never understand that regardless of what you say.
