On December 14th Ashford Police Department responded to a suspicious person in vehicle call in the 2000 block of Ashford Road.
Upon arrival, officer made contact with property owner. Property owner stated that he had observed a suspicious vehicle parked behind his unoccupied rental property. When he approached, one individual fled on foot and the other fled in the vehicle. Both subjects were apprehended and brought back to the scene.
Further investigation revealed that the two subjects had cut and removed the outside heating and air conditioning compressor.
Both subjects were taken into custody by Ashford Police Department were charged with Theft of Property, First Degree. Both subjects were transferred to Houston County Jail where they will be held pending a $10,000 bond each.
The Ashford Police Department is continuing their investigation where there may be charges forthcoming.
