Arrest Made in Barbour County Murder

The ABI has made an arrest on the murder that took place in Barbour County.

The suspect was arrested in Montgomery.

The ABI will be issuing a press release soon.

Level Plains Man Charged with Murder

Dothan – On Oct. 8, Marvin Nation, 45, of Daleville was found dead in rural Barbour County, and Barbour County Sheriff Leroy Upshaw requested that the Alabama Bureau of Investigation assist with the investigation into Nation’s death.

On Oct. 12, agents with ABI obtained warrants for murder on James Brandon Ward, 25, of Level Plains. At approximately noon today, ABI agents and members of the U.S. Marshals Service’s Fugitive Task Force took Ward into custody in Montgomery without incident.
