Arrest In Dothan Leads to Further Investigation

On August 21, 2012 the Dothan Police Department responded to a residential burglary in the 300 block of Pettus Street. Investigators say Lativia Byrd has now been arrested for making entry into the home and taken multiple items which were then sold as scrap at a local business.

Police say Byrd may have had two accomplices in this crime described by witnesses as black males and are asking anyone with information about the case or identity of the suspect to call the Dothan Police Department or CrimeStoppers 334-793-7000.

Lativia Byrd, black female, 22 years of age, of Arlington Avenue was arrested and charged with Third Degree Burglary with a $2,500 bond.
