"I heard somebody screaming help me help me and I ran over there and she said that she just got robbed so I called the police," said Michael Brennan, a tenant of the victim.

Brennan is a tenant at the Gardens Apartment on Holly Lane.

He says he saw the suspects walk up to the complex office just before 11 o'clock Thursday morning but didn't think anything of it.

"She said that they held her up at gun point and stole her purse and money," said Brennan.

According to Dothan Police a black man and woman in their mid-twenties walked into the office and asked about the complex.

"Two people posing as potential tenants had entered the office and were talking with one of the employees asking just different questions about the apartments and the business itself. During that conversation the male suspect did bring out a hand gun and demanded money at that time," said Sergeant Rachel David with Dothan Police Department.

The suspects fled on foot towards East Edgewood Drive.

The man is described as 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt and jean shorts.

The woman is 5 foot 4 and weighs approximately 150 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a red shirt and black pants.

A search k-9 was brought in to assist.

"Police saturated the area quickly but were unable to locate the suspects," said Sgt. David.

Luckily, the victim was not injured during the robbery.

As for Brennan, he says he will continue to keep a tight lock on his door.

Authorities are continuing in their search for the suspects.
