The Andalusia Police Department charged 31 year old, Amy Kathleen Caudle, with 2 counts of Rape 2nd Degree and 3 counts of Sodomy 2nd Degree.
Ms. Caudle is being held in the Covington County Jail under a combined bond totaling $1,000,000.00.
Ms. Caudle is employed by the Andalusia City School System as a Special Needs teacher at the Andalusia Middle School.
At the present time, three (3) students have been identified as victims of the alleged incidents.
The investigation remains open at this time and every effort is being made to verify any and all victims.
These charges are the result of an investigation that began several days ago and is being conducted by investigators from the Andalusia Police Department, officials from the Department of Human Resources and the Covington County District Attorney’s Office.
The initial information that brought this matter to light is a result of the complete cooperation from the Andalusia City School Superintendant’s Office and the administration of the Andalusia Middle School.
No further details of the investigation can be released at this time that might affect the integrity of the investigation.
