TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (AP) -- The Colbert County sheriff says a man and his wife have been accused of torturing his 5-year-old son by putting a clothespin on his genitals for inappropriate dancing.

The TimesDaily reports Sheriff Ronnie May says 30-year-old Dustin Davis Clever and 31-year-old Cinderella Sunshine Clever are charged with torture and willful abuse of a child.

May says investigators determined the boy was dancing in the house with his older sister on Monday, and his stepmother became upset with the way he was dancing.

May says the stepmother made the boy stand still with the clothespin attached to his genitals, and the father walked in, laughed and went about his business.

May says the couple is in the Colbert County Jail on $15,000 bail each.

He says the boy was not injured.
