Defuniak Springs, FL (December 29, 2010) – The Walton County Sheriff’s Department has arrested 5 people on various methamphetamine charges. The arrests resulted from a two week initiative to counter the methamphetamine problem in Walton County.
On December 22, 2010, WCSO Narcotic Investigators arrested Jessica Lynn Chambers, 28, and Lance Aaron Hammac, 33, of Defuniak Springs, for charges of possession of listed chemical with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. These arrest resulted from a traffic stop where they were found in possession of Red Phosphorus, acid in an eye dropper, two bottles of HEET, and two boxes of nasal decongestant containing pseudoephedrine. Both subjects admitted to purchasing the items with the knowledge it would by used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Both Hammac and Chambers were held on a $5,000 bonds.
On December 28, 2010, WCSO Narcotic Investigators arrested John Lee Wickham, 53, Randall Eugene Jackson, 49, and Melissa Ann Scott, 45, of Defuniak Spring, for charges of possession of listed chemicals with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine. These arrests resulted from a traffic stop where they were found in possession of items used to manufacture methamphetamine. Wickham was in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. Wickham is being held on a 30,000 dollar bond. Jackson is being held on a 25,000 dollar bond, and Scott is being held without bond.
A subsequent search warrant was executed at 1073 Nelson Road, Defuniak Springs. Florida where additional methamphetamine and items used to manufacture methamphetamine were located. This was the residence of Jackson and Scott. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
