3 Teens Arrested for Burglarizing School

Three Florida teenagers have been arrested for burglarizing a school in DeFuniak Springs.

18-year-olds Bryan Hicks and Jason Sherwood and 19-year-old Cody Burch have been charged with burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief.

Early Sunday morning, police and firefighters responded to a fire alarm at Walton High School and found the windows of the field house busted and items missing, including a flat-screen T.V. and camcorder.

After the initial investigation was complete, officers were called back to the school on a burglary in progress. Two suspects fled from the building, leading officers on a short chase that led to the third suspect's house, where many of the stolen items were found.

Hicks, Sherwood and Burch are being held at the Walton County Department of Corrections.
