COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) -- Police say they have raided two stores and arrested three people following an investigation into illegal gambling in Columbus.
Police says officers descended on a pair of convenience stores Monday after a two-week probe.
Capt. Bill Slouchick tells the Ledger-Enquirer that officers found 15 gambling machines at the two stores. He identifies them as the Steam Mill Food Mart and a Sunny's Food Mart.
Two people were arrested on gambling charges at one store, and one person was arrested at the other.
Slouchick says more arrests are anticipated.
