On Friday, July 5, members of the Washington County Drug Task Force concluded a six month long investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics by conducting a warrant roundup that consisted of 38 arrests warrants for 35 suspects.

During the course of the roundup, the task force which consists of the Chipley Police Department and Washington County Sheriff's Office found several suspects to be in possession of marijuana, and/or various drug paraphernalia. Approximately a half pound of the marijuana seized from these suspects was prepackaged for sell.

While attempting the arrest of Haley Emanuel at her residence on charges of selling methamphetamine and opium, Drug Task Force Officers were able to gain consent to search the residence leading to an additional three arrests.

After entering the residence, it was discovered that three additional people were currently residing in the home. The three subjects were identified including Jeremy Windsor, for an outstanding warrant from Holmes County. During a search of the residence, an active methamphetamine lab was discovered in a common area of the home. At that time, all remaining subjects were arrested.

Drug Task Force Officers gained information during the roundup that resulted in an undercover (reverse) operation that nabbed two additional suspects, Amine Mohamad Badreddine, and Lacey Alexis Adkison, each were charged with the purchase of cocaine.

Bonds ranged from $1000 up to $60,000 at first appearance.

The illegal drugs purchased during the undercover operation included methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, synthetic marijuana, and various prescription medications to include hydrocodene, Loratab, Xanax, Methadone, Diazepam, and Oxycodone.

Several seizures were made during the operation to include an approximate total of $2686 in cash, and a motor vehicle.

Of the 35 suspects that had warrants for arrest, only two are still at large. Anthony, Bobby Smith Jr and Anthony Manning are wanted by Police. Smith is wanted for selling marijuana and Manning is wanted for selling methamphetamine.
