HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) -- A Florida man who was busted in a stolen
tractor-trailer carrying more than three tons of marijuana has been
ordered to spend 15 years in prison.
Thirty-six-year-old Stanley Narcisse was a passenger in the truck stopped in January 2010 at a weigh station near Granville with 261 bales of marijuana worth an estimated $6.5 million.
The Winter Garden, Fla. man was sentenced Friday to 188 months in prison by a federal judge in Harrisburg. He was convicted in November of conspiracy and drug distribution charges.
The truck's driver, Eric Emmanuel, was previously sentenced to 10 years in prison. Narcisse had been convicted on similar charges.
Authorities say the trailer had been stolen in Georgia, picked up the drugs in Arizona and was heading to Connecticut when it was stopped.
