2 Arrested in Catalpa Avenue Burglary

DOTHAN, AL - On July 18, 2013 the Dothan Police Department responded to the area of South Orange Street and Catalpa Avenue after receiving a call of two suspicious persons nearby.

Arriving officers made contact with the two subjects, Allerie Blackmon and Robert Galliano on Laurel Avenue, the officers checked the two individuals and found them to be in possession of several pieces of loose jewelry. Other responding officers began checking the immediate area and found a home in the 1200 block of Laurel Avenue had been burglarized.

The jewelry found on Blackmon and Galliano were identified as property taken from that home. Both were arrested and charged with third degree burglary, with bond amounts being set at a later time.

• Allerie Tarell Blackmon Jr., black male, 18 years of age, of East Washington Street was arrested and charged with third degree burglary. A bond amount will be set at a later time.

• Robert Galliano, black male, 18 years of age, of Morgan Street was arrested and charged with third degree burglary. A bond amount will be set at a later time.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
