One of the 11 Florida A&M University band members charged in the hazing death of a drum major is speaking out against the school.
Rikki Wills was on the bus the night of November 19 when drum major Robert Champion died in a band ritual on Bus C.
The ritual involves members enduring relentless punches from other band members while trying to get a seat on the bus.
Wills claimed he learned about the ritual his first day at school. He's suggesting the university was either willfully ignorant about the hazing, or turned a blind eye to it.
"After the drum majors dismiss the band on the field, a lot of times the band does chants specifically coming from the percussion section," Wills said. "You know, they do the Bus C chant. Everybody says it, and then, like, they go 'Ugh' after they are done. And it's hard not to know what that is. It's either they either completely ignored it or didn't care to know what it was."
Wills also went into brutal detail about the alleged hazing ritual on Tuesday night's episode of "Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel." The show appears on HBO, which is owned by CNN's parent company, Time Warner.
On Monday, lingering fallout from the incident forced Florida A&M's president James Ammons to resign, effective immediately.
