The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Fort Walton Beach man in connection with a home invasion robbery Tuesday morning in the Niceville area. Deputies are also seeking additional suspects.

A man and two women were sitting in a garage at 823 St. Pierre Cove around 2:30 a.m. September 27th when three individuals wearing ski masks came in, attacked them and demanded money. One of the females in the garage escaped.

During a struggle, one of the victims was able to hit an attacker with a wine bottle, but the thieves got away with a cell phone and six-hundred dollars cash.

A witness spotted a dark-colored sedan leaving the area quickly with several passengers screaming.

A short time later, the Niceville Police Department stopped a suspicious car in connection with a separate investigation. The driver and five passengers fled, but two of those individuals, including 27-year old Victor Tyrell Robinson of 714 Navy Street, Lot 28, were located and detained.

Officers say ski masks were inside the car in plain view. OCSO deputies have charged Robinson with home invasion robbery.

The investigation continues.
