Chief Justice Cobb Announces Additional Layoffs Under Proposed Budget

Posted: 05/17/2011 - MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA – In a press conference today, Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb announced that the proposed appropriation to the Unified Judicial System in the fiscal year 2012 State General Fund Budget as adopted by the House of Representatives would result in the layoff of at least 254 court employees plus an additional 25 Administrative Office of Courts employees by October 1st.
