4 Juveniles Arrested for Car Theft

Posted: 08/08/2011 - On August 8, 2011 at approximately 1:55 a.m. Houston County Deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a SUV at Columbia Hwy. and E. Main St. Dothan, Al. and during the attempt by the deputy, the driver of the SUV attempted to evade and initiated a pursuit. The Houston County Deputy engaged a PIT maneuver and disabled the SUV at the 1100 block 6th Ave. Dothan, Al. immediately after the stop of the vehicle the occupant of the vehicle attempted to flee the scene, four hours later four juveniles from the age of 12 years old to 14 years old were in custody. The Houston County Sheriff's Office investigation of the vehicle showed that it had been stolen from the Bay Line Railroad on the 700 block of South Range St. Dothan, Al. and during the taking of the vehicle from the property the, vehicle was driven through a fenced area causing damage to the vehicle.
