Former Lockhart Police Chief Guilty of Misusing Position

Updated: 10/18/2013 - Attorney General Luther Strange and ACJIC Director Maury Mitchell, a member of the Attorney General's Special Prosecution Alliance, announced the felony ethics conviction of former Lockhart Police Chief John D. Davis II. Davis, 37, pleaded guilty on October 16 in Covington County Circuit Court to one count of using his official position for personal gain, related to his unauthorized use of the Law Enforcement Tactical System ("LETS") in exchange for money.
