Troy Honors Former U-S Representative with Building Dedication

Updated: 11/22/2013 - The Library/Technology Building on the Troy University - Dothan campus received a new name Friday morning. During a special ceremony, the university dedicated the R. Terry Everett Hall. Everett served eight terms in the US House of Representatives where he focused on agriculture, the armed services, veterans and intelligence. He also had an impressive career as a newspaper executive and farmer.

Improvements Coming to Houston County Administrative Building

Updated: 11/21/2013 - Several departments are temporarily moving out of the county's administrative building while it undergoes improvements. The plan is for them to relocate to the old Mayer Electric Supply Building on North Foster Street. The commission asked offices to look into any improvements they want accomplished before they move out. These changes include anything that could make the departments operate more efficiently.
