Daleville Police Department Gets Tasers

Updated: 12/16/2013 - Daleville Police Department added a taser to their list of tools to keep them, and their community, safe. Each officer recently received a taser and proper training. The tool allows them to stand around twenty-five feet from their subject and shoot the taser. It sends out two prongs on twenty-five feet of copper wire. These prongs send an electrical pulse to the subject which paralyses their muscles. This holds them in one place until the officers can get the person under control.
