It was an alligator brought by the Houston county game warden.
But why did he bring it?
Diversion center officials wanted to give their youth option of what they can be once they get out.
And they started off with an exciting job, a game warden.
"A lot of them have been in trouble they need to know there are other things and other avenues they can do in life to be successful." Houston County game warden Tim Ward said.

Ward says young people are the future of his department.
He hopes his visit today will spark an interest in the youth, and give them motivation towards their future.
