"We've got a big road project going on right now out on county road 81, that is tearing up and road and redoing it," says Commissioner Mark Culver.
City Manager Mike West, says what helps the city keep going is the recent sales tax increase.
"The past month which was March collections we were up actually over five percent in sales tax collection...so that's the good news,” says City Manager West.
Good news that will help Dothan and Houston County continue to grow.
