The City of Dothan’s bank account grew by a little more than a quarter of a million dollars Tuesday.
Wiregrass Electric presented a check for its 3 percent privilege license tax at the city commission meeting Tuesday morning.
The entire amount is $266,720. That’s about 12-percent more than last year's.
“We think it's a huge opportunity to continue to see the growth of the city and the leadership that you and the commissioners and the city staff here are doing. We just thank you and enjoy being a partner with the city," says Wiregrass Electric’s, Brad Kimbro.
The revenue from this tax has increased more than 200-thousand dollars over the past 10-years.
