With more food comes the need for volunteers to help keep everything organized.
Employees with the food bank say they have had a lot of volunteers come in from high schools and churches.
Shirley Henderson, the assistant director for the food bank, says having these extra bodies around to help, is something she is grateful for.
"Yesterday I counted the volunteers and we had 24 volunteers come in to help us pack up the brown bag, help us restock our refrigerators and freezers and also loading up our vehicles and then helping us clean."
Henderson says volunteers help keep the cost down so they can bring in more food.
She says volunteers are always needed and would love to speak with anyone who is interested.
