Wiregrass farmers are invited to hear the latest in ag research.

The Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland will hold a crops field day on Friday.
Signups for the free event begin at 8 and lunch will be served sometime around noon.
The center focuses their research primarily on cotton and peanuts, but they have also spent time looking at issues with wheat.

“This is an opportunity for the producers to see some of the ongoing research, and also it’s a time where they can visit with the researchers and talk about their situations,” says Brian Gamble, Associate Director of the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center.

2nd District Congresswoman Martha Roby will be the guest speaker at lunch.
