Thursday crews replaced the damaged antenna on the tower at Hodgesville Road.
They decided to take down the tower due to safety reasons.
The new antennas will be placed on the fire tower instead.
If you may recall emergency responders say they had trouble using their hand held system during an accident last week so they had to use their cell phones to communicate.
"It feels good. I hope that they're happy with the solution we came up with. It should work fine if there's any issues with the new tower with a gain in coverage or loss in coverage well have to address them," said Alabama Forest Operations Director John Goff
Officials say the new antennas have a higher gain and should increase reception and communication.
