Heavy rain is causing flooding and elevated waterways in Coffee County.
The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Central Coffee County in Southeast Alabama, effective until 5:15am Central Daylight Time.
Very-slow moving showers and thunderstorms are producing heavy rains, with rates as high as 1 to 2 inches per hour in some spots.
Rainfall totals between 4 and 5 inches could be possible in some parts of the county.
This could be upgraded to a Flash Flood situation later on.
