The Alabama Republican was the only senator to vote in March against a 5 percent reduction to senators' office budgets.
He called it was a meager and symbolic gesture and pledged he would
voluntarily spend 15 percent less.
The Birmingham News reports that a new financial report from the financial clerk of the Senate shows Sessions spent $2.6 million, 15 percent less than his $3 million allotment.
The report covers the fiscal year that ended September 30th.

Payroll is the bulk of the cost in running a Senate office, or more than $2.3 million in Sessions' case.
