KISSIMMEE, Florida Authorities say two people were killed in a small plane crash in central Florida.

The Federal Aviation Administration reports that the dual-engine vintage airplane was attempting to land at Kissimmee Gateway
Airport Wednesday evening when it crashed near a YMCA and
elementary school. Police didn't know if anyone on the ground was
injured.

The plane that crashed was reported to be a Fouga CM-170 Magister. First introduced by French company Air Fouga in the 1950s, the jet-powered craft was discontinued in the 1980s.

The names of the two people killed weren't immediately released.
