FORT RUCKER, Ala. (AP) - Army officials say an instructor and a student have suffered minor injuries in an accident during helicopter flight training at Fort Rucker in southeast Alabama.

Officials in the post Public Affairs Office reported that the TH-67 training helicopter was heavily damaged in the mishap about 9:10 a.m. Tuesday during routine training.

But post officials said the instructor and student suffered only minor injuries and have been treated and released at an area hospital.

The Public Affairs Office did not release further details about the accident and said the cause is being investigated.
