Terence Rogers has lived in Suntrace Mobile Home Park for the past two years and says he's seen it all.
Rogers said, “It ain't safe for everybody. I don't know if it's just off the highway but they've been breaking into homes.”
One of those break-in's happened Wednesday night.
Police were called to a home after two armed men entered and stole almost everything the residents owned.
The victims were home at the time and watched helplessly as the burglars took off in their car.
One victim was hit over the head and was sent to the hospital.
Calls to troy police keep rolling in and it's usually about incidents like these like the one that happened last night at Suntrace Mobile Home Park. Residents say they're just not feeling safe
This isn't the first incident. Crime in troy has been through the roof. Police are working on two recent sexual assaults at hunters mobile home park and just closed the case on a troy university armed robbery.
Residents like Erikka Knight say they've had enough and are taking matters in their own hands
Knight said
24:55 some girlfriends and i were actually talking about that, maybe we should take a class and educate ourselves on how to shoot a gun or how to defend ourselves or take some self defense classes
And Troy police are taking action too, working overtime and trying to catch each person responsible.
Sgt. Benny Scarborough said, “There’s no doubt on my mind that we're going to find the perpetrators that are responsible for the incident that occurred last night and hunters mountain, I don't see any reason shape form or fashion that we won't solve both these cases
Scarborough says always know your surroundings, even after they catch the bad guys.
“When you talk to a person or see a person look them in the eye.”
