TROY – Dothan residents Dr. J. Robert “Bob” Boothe, Jr. and Tim Shirley will be among the four honorees on Saturday as Troy University presents its annual Alumni of the Year Awards.
The recipients will be honored during halftime ceremonies at Saturday’s homecoming game against Arkansas State. Kickoff for the game is set for 2:30 p.m. In addition to halftime recognition, the four recipients will also be honored during an invitation-only dinner Friday night and a breakfast reception Saturday morning.
The awards are presented annually as a part of the University’s homecoming celebration, and recipients are selected by the Troy University Alumni Association Board of Directors based on outstanding professional accomplishments, civic achievements and loyalty and service to the University.
Others receiving Alumni of the Year awards are: John Howard “Doc” Anderson of Troy and James C. Gardner of Greenville.
