TROY, Ala. (AP) -- Police in Troy have charged a 56-year-old man with felony murder in the slaying of a woman who was shot in the head during a domestic argument.
Reports say that Troy police arrested Russell Douglas Senn on Friday. He was ordered to be held at the Pike County Jail on $100,000 bond.
Senn's arrest came after police responded to a report of a shooting just after 8:30 a.m. Friday. They found Sharron Schwening in the yard of a home with a gunshot wound to the head.
The woman died after being flown to Baptist South hospital in Montgomery.
Police say the shooting resulted from some type of domestic argument. It was not known Saturday if Senn had hired an attorney.
