SYCAMORE, Ala. (AP) -- State troopers say alcohol was a factor in an accident that left a Sycamore teen dead.
The Daily Home reports that state troopers said late Saturday that the accident was still under investigation but that alcohol was a factor.
Troopers say 15-year-old David Rhodes Jr. died after he was hit late Friday afternoon by a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Donald Patterson, also of Sycamore. A 16-year-old who was with Rhodes was also hit by the vehicle and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
A trooper report shows that Patterson was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing, and it was not immediately clear whether charges would be filed.
