Traffic Congested Around Chick-fil-A in Dothan

Dothan police say there is tremendous traffic congestion on Ross Clark in the vicinity of Chick Fil A.

The activity stems from what has been dubbed Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, a grassroots effort to show support for the fast-food chain after CEO Dan Cathy said in an interview that he is a firm backer of “traditional marriage.”

Traffic officers are on scene and have opened an extra turn lane to help traffic flow in. Officers say traffic is a continuous flow but confirm it is a slow one.

Police say any motorist on the north side of Dothan that are not traveling to a business in that area should consider alternate routes.

WTVY News4 has reporters on scene and will have live reports at 5 and 6 pm.
