'Through with Chew' Week

Chewing tobacco use among high school students in Alabama sits at 17.5 percent.

The annual in the U.S. is 12.5 percent.

So the Wiregrass tobacco-free coalition is hosting ‘Through with Chew’ week and ‘National Spit Out’ day.

It’s a way for anyone who wants to quit tobacco use to try it.

Officials say chewing is a dangerous habit, but too many people don't think so.

‘Through with Chew’ week begins February 17th and goes through the 23rd.

February 21st is national ‘Spit Out’ day.
