WICKSBURG, AL--22-year-old Ryan Clark Petersen is in police custody.
Police say Peterson shot and killed three people at club Teasers in Wicksburg, another man was also injured.
"From witness accounts and interviews that we've done there was an altercation inside the club with some of the employees and he escorted from the club," said Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes.
Investigators say Petersen left, went to his car, got a gun and went back into the club.
Police say he shot the club owner's son, 20-year-old Cameron Eubanks first at the door outside the club.
Police say he then walked inside and shot 31-year-old Tiffany Paige Grissett.
She lived in Dale County, was an employee at the club and a mother of three.
59-year-old Thomas Robins of Dothan was also shot and killed.
A fourth man was shot but received non-life threatening injuries.
Sheriff Hughes says this doesn't seem like a planned attack.
"He really didn't have a relationship with any of these people in the club this was not some type of preconceived plot to go in and start killing people in this business he just went back in the club after he was asked to leave, explained Hughes and started firing."
Petersen was captured after he led police on an overnight manhunt.
"He had lost his shoes lost his shirt he was in pretty bad shape
After the chase.
Whenever he saw that we were coming up on him he stood up and gave himself up," said Hughes.
Sheriff Hughes says they believe the suspect fled on foot because after the shooting, the owner came out and returned fire.
"He saw the suspect at his vehicle, explained Hughes, and he fired two or three rounds from his handgun toward the suspect."
However, the suspect didn't get hit.
Sheriff Hughes said Petersen used a Glock model 26, 9 milli-meter gun, which they have recovered.
The club will be open tonight for business.
Sheriff Hughes says at this time Peterson is facing three counts of capital murder and one count of attempted murder.
They are requesting no bond.
