Headland, AL - Area students are back in the classroom this week. Its part of Troy University's Summer Spectacular.
For the past two decades the program has been giving education majors hands-on experience.
This year, they are focusing on engineering incorporating everything from reading to math, and even dancing at Headland Middle School.
“I think as teachers we are learning to be very flexible, and we're also learning how to collaborate with other teachers,” said Kara Hanson, a Troy University education major.
Another education major, Teresa Starr said, “It's teaching us to think on the spot. We've come up with daily lessons and it's very time consuming. But we're having a blast doing it, and it is very rewarding watching the students learn.”
The four-week program wraps up this Thursday.
