State School Board Member Calls for Law Allowing Electronic Participation in Public Meetings


MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Twice this month, the Alabama State Board of Education canceled scheduled meetings because too few of its members were in attendance to legally conduct business.

Now, one school board member is pushing for a law change that would enable board members to participate in meetings electronically, but that request is drawing criticism from another school board member.
