Skull and Body Found in Headland

Headland Police, Alabama Bureau of Investigation, Dothan Police, Houston County Sheriff's Office, and Henry County Sheriff's Office are working together to determine how the remains got there.

The were found in a field near Cleveland Street and Highway 431.

Police confirm that they are human remains and appear to have been there for a long time since the body had decomposed.

Authorities say the remains appear to be that of a vagrant.

Identification was found on the body, but the name will not be released until the victim's family is notified.
