Severe Thunderstorms Rumble Through Northern Alabama Sunday Night

While the Wiregrass had calm weather Sunday Night, North Alabama dealt with wind and even the threat of tornadoes.

A line of potent storms moved out of Tennessee and Mississippi into northern Alabama on Sunday evening.

The storms prompted several watches and warnings in that area until they finally weakened around 11:30pm.

There were several reports of downed trees, downed power lines, and even one report of a fire caused by a lightning strike near the Huntsville area.

Some strong to severe storms are possible in parts of Alabama once again today.
