A Wiregrass artist had the opportunity to showcase her artwork for the first time Saturday night at Dothan's Cultural Arts Center.

Alannah Vincent, a Tuskegee University student is sharing her craft with her hometown.

Vincent received an art scholarship award from the Cultural Arts Center to pursue an art related major in college.

Aside from her art, she also has an athletic scholarship on the university's women's basketball team.

She's hopeful that this exhibit will not be her last to share.

"You now, excited a little bit nervous about the take people would have and I just want to share my talent. You know when God gives you a talent, what you do with that talent is give back to God and this is my way of showing," says Vincent.

Vincent say, people and the world around her inspire her drawings. She graduates in May 2014.
