TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Investigators are searching for a man
suspected of raping two women in Tuscaloosa, leaving one dead.
Officers have obtained warrants charging 30-year-old Ellis Lamont Patton with capital murder, rape, sodomy and kidnapping.
Patton is suspected of killing 46-year-old Angela Quick Lavender
at her apartment on Tuesday.
Police say Patton and Lavender had been involved in a relationship.
Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit commander Capt. Loyd Baker says she was strangled.
Police say the other rape victim lived in the same apartments.
