The Salvation Army was in Headland Monday to take applications for their Christmas assistance program.
If help is needed with food or toys this holiday season, parents were asked to bring their child's clothing and shoes size, birth certificate, social security card and proof of income.
Seniors are also able to get food to make a Christmas dinner.
"There are a lot of children who wouldn't have a Christmas if not for the salvation army last we did 1,400 families between the food boxes and toys and gifts that were handed out," said Jackie Dixon, bookkeeper for Salvation Army Dothan.
They will also be accepting applications Tuesday in Geneva at the Geneva City council room on Commerce Street from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
